Hurricane Helene – AUC CAMPUS CLOSURES

UPDATE:

Atlanta – The AUCC Inclement Weather Team and its member institutions (Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Morehouse School of Medicine, Spelman College), including the AUC Robert Woodruff Library, continue to monitor the weather. The safety of our students, faculty, and staff on campus is our top priority. All AUC campuses will NOW operate remotely on Thursday and close on Friday.

Only essential personnel will be expected to report to the campuses for work.

Students may remain on campus, and dining halls will be operable. Please consult local news stations for information about how to remain safe and monitor your campus alerts.

5:00 p.m.
Atlanta – The AUCC Inclement Weather Team and its member institutions(Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Morehouse School of Medicine, Spelman College), including the AUC Robert Woodruff Library and Morris Brown College, are closely monitoring the conditions of Hurricane Helene approaching Georgia. At this time, Governor Brian Kemp has issued a state of Emergency. As of Wednesday evening, Helene is expected to bring a significant impact to the area through Friday, September 27th. We encourage all of our campus community  to sign up for their campus alert system and follow local news outlets.
As a precaution:
The campuses and our offices at Roosevelt Hall will close early on Thursday, September 26 at 2:30 pm.
The campuses and our offices at Roosevelt Hall will operate remotely on Friday, September 27.
