AUC Art Collective

The Atlanta University Center Collective for the Study of Art History & Curatorial Studies is an initiative that, over the course of the next decade and beyond, will position the Atlanta University Center as the leading incubator of African-American museum and art world professionals in the United States and abroad.

Spelman College will build the program, which will enroll students from Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University who desire degrees in art history and curatorial studies. This innovative undergraduate program will offer a dynamic new curriculum that makes use of the Spelman College Museum of Fine Arts, Clark Atlanta University Art Museum, and the strong liberal arts programs on all three campuses.

The AUC Art Collective is building an ongoing source of talent through the AUC Collective summer program for high school students. The four-week program, which launched in June 2019 encourages participants to pursue undergraduate studies in art history and curatorial studies through a series of unique arts education activities.

Scholarships for the Atlanta University Center Collective for the Study of Art History & Curatorial Studies are made possible by generous support from the Alice L. Walton Foundation. Visit https://aucartcollective.org/ for more information on the program.
