Kevin N. Carpenter
Chief Supply Chain Officer,The Toro Company
Kevin is the Chief Supply Chain Officer for The Toro Company. In his role, he has responsibility for procurement, manufacturing, order services, transportation, safety, quality, service, and productivity for products that generate approximately $5 billion of revenue.
He previously served as Vice President of Operations for Residential and Light Commercial Systems at Carrier, and held other leadership positions in the organization including Vice President of Quality and Continuous Improvement and Vice President of Advanced Manufacturing.
Prior to joining Carrier, Carpenter was Vice President of Manufacturing Services at Rockwell Automation, Inc. He also held earlier Engineering and Operations roles at General Electric, Magna International, Nexxus Lighting and General Motors/Delphi.
Kevin has a proven track record of outstanding leadership and operational expertise. He has transformed organizations to enable companies to experience revenue and earnings growth by driving operational excellence in the integrated supply chain. Kevin is presently a board member of the Engineering Dual Degree/AUC Atlanta University Consortium, and a former board member of the Urban League Cleveland (2016-2019). He has also recently received notable awards and recognition as a 2022 Most Influential Black Executive by Savoy Magazine, and recipient of the 2022 Supply Chains to Admire.
For over two decades, Kevin has provided inclusive access through mentorship and internship opportunities to students of the Atlanta University Center Consortium, National Society of Black Engineers, and the National Black MBA Association to name a few. He has provided approximately $3M in corporate support National Black MBA Association to name a few. He has provided approximately $3M in corporate support to fund students ability to attend conferences, job fairs, and professional development training.
Kevin holds a Master of Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from Youngstown State University, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering, with a Minor in Mathematics, from Morehouse College. He also completed Finance for Senior Executives at Harvard Business School in 2021, holds a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Ashland University, and two design patents in the Electrical industry.
