DDEP Board Members

Kory Hawkins is a University Relations lead at Microsoft. Prior to joining Microsoft, he spent fifteen years in higher education administration, collaborating with faculty, staff, and students on numerous initiatives. His experience includes a tenure at Columbia Law School where he served as Associate Director of Admissions and Coordinator for Diversity and Inclusion. He also spent five years working with the University of California system as both Associate Director of Admissions at UC Hastings College of the Law and as Deputy Director for Education Pipeline Programs in the Office of Diversity and Engagement at the University of California Office of the President (UCOP). He began his higher education career at his alma mater, Morehouse College, where he was Assistant Dean of Recruitment and Admissions. At Microsoft, he leverages his experience in higher education to build capacity at HBCUs and expose students to careers in technology. Kory holds a BA in Spanish from Morehouse College and a Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law.
